The Civil Service Bureau of Georgia has fined 66 members of parliament and judges in civil service for irregularities in their annual asset declarations, docking part of their salaries and issuing warnings.
The state agency inspected 60 MP declarations submitted over the past year, giving "negative" assessment to 59 due to various inconsistencies or missing information, the Georgian Public Broadcaster reported on Monday.
Fines of 20 percent of their monthly salaries have been placed on the offending lawmakers for the violations in declarations, which serve to publicly reflect property owned by civil servants.
The Bureau also considered declarations by 14 judges, finding seven of the submitted forms unsatisfactory and earning the same penalty for the offenders from various courts in Tbilisi and beyond.
Two other judges were warned by the agency for lesser violations of "non-substantial" essence, GBP said.
