Today and tomorrow Tbilisi is hosting a festival of street musicians, with the participation of local and foreign street musicians.
The festival, which brought together 150 musicians, is part of the Tbilisi Night Economy project initiated by Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze in April 2018.
The current festival is being held at Dedaena Garden and Pushkin Square in central Tbilisi.
Head of the night economy project Sergi Gvarjaladze says that the week following Tbilisoba Festival will be dedicated to street music festivals in the capital, as the field has “high potential.”
The number of street musicians in Georgia is big. About 500 street musicians are united in the Georgian Association of Street Musicians,” Gvarjaladze said.
He said that a workshop for Georgian street musicians will also be held tomorrow.
