PM Bakhtadze: Georgia’s economy is open to investments

Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze has sent a clear message that the Georgian economy is open to investments at a meeting with the CEO of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), Ray W. Washburne in Washington D.C.

PM Bakhtadze has discussed the opportunity of expanding the scope of OPIC projects in Georgia in the sectors of logistics, trade, tourism and informations and communications technology. Ray W. Washburne has positively assessed Georgia’s advancement in terms of improving the investment climate and economic development.

He said Georgia has an important place in the long-term plans of the OPIC as the most outstanding country in the region.

Washburne pointed out that the OPIC is going to launch a regional hub in partnership with the Georgian government.

PM Bakhtadze has promised that the government will maximally support the increase of foreign investment in the country.
