Weight of pupils’ books to be about 250gr less in Georgia

The weight of pupils' books has been halved in Georgia, announces Georgia’s Ministry of Education.

More specifically, the books for first to sixth graders will be 200-250gr less than before.

The weight of each book was about 400gr for first to fourth graders, while for fifth-sixth graders it was 500gr.

The weight of books has been reduced as one book was divided into several books, explained the ministry.
