Georgian law enforcers have supported French law enforcement officers detain a 36-year-old Georgian citizen who committed robberies in French cities between 2017 and 2018.
The individual, who was wanted by the French police, was stopped by a local policeman in Saint Brieuc on 10 August.
The man identified only as A.J. had fake identification documents with him.
The French police asked Georgian law enforcers to recheck the identity of the man, “which was carried out immediately”, the Georgian Interior Ministry says.
The man was detained and has been sent to prison for six months by a French court.
