Georgian Defence Minister Levan Izoria and Chief of General Staff Vladimer Chachibaia have met the Commander of the US Forces in Afghanistan and the Resolute Support Mission John Nicholson to discuss the cooperation between US and Georgia in the field of defence.

"The professionalism and qualifications of Georgian soldiers is amazing for US and NATO. As the head of the NATO-led mission, I would point out that Georgia is represented by the largest contingent among the non-member countries of the alliance. This representation has helped to launch peace talks and ensure the ceasefire in Afghanistan during the last 17 years,” General  John Nicholson said who is a "big supporter” for Georgia, according to the Defence Minister.
