A new 25 megawatt capacity substation has opened in Georgia’s village of Saguramo in Mtskheta municipality.
Georgian Water and Power, a leading company on the water supply market of Georgia and the South Caucasus, has invested over 5 million GEL in building the 25 megawatt capacity substation in Saguramo.
The substation was opened yesterday by Deputy Economy Minister Romeo Mikautadze, who said that building high-tech energy facilities is very important for Georgia as it contributes to sector development as well as helps the country attract more investments and create more jobs.
The new substation was built with modern technology and meets international standards.
The construction and installation works were carried out by Georgian company Energoservice.
