Tbilisi hosts 49th General Assembly of Association of International Sommelleries

Georgia’s capital of Tbilisi is hosting the annual 49th General Assembly of the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale, announces the Georgian National Wine Agency.
The General Assembly days will continue in Tbilisi on June 18-22 and several important events are planned for these days: an international session on the characteristics of the Saperavi wine variety, a wine tasting of the best qvevri wines, a master-class on Georgian wine and other activities.
Georgian Sommelier Association received the right for Georgia to host the General Assembly.
The Association de la Sommellerie Internationale was established in 1969 in France and unites national wine associations of 62 countries around the world.
The Georgian Sommelier Association joined the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale in 2014.
Singapore and South Korea hosted Georgian wine tasting events this week, which were organised by the Georgian National Wine Agency and its contractor company, Meiburg Wine Media.
