Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova launch joint parliamentary assembly

Speakers of the Georgian, Ukrainian and Moldovan parliaments have signed a trilateral agreement on launching a joint parliamentary assembly today.

According to the agreement the three countries approve their steadfast and consistent support to the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova.

Speaking at the inter-parliamentary conference in Kiev, Ukraine Speaker of the Georgian parliament Irakli Kobakhidze said that the three countries are connected through common challenges and especially with regard of territorial integrity.

„I believe we will have certain achievements and finally, achieve our goals which will ensure strengthening of our sovereignty, restoration of our territorial integrity, and western integration," Irakli Kobakhidze said adding that it is very important for the three countries to have the support of the international society. 

The joint parliamentary assembly is aimed at deepening the cooperation and dialogue between the three countries, as well as strengthening inter-parliamentary relations and the discussion of issues that are of trilateral interest.
