Georgian student of the San Diego State University (SDSU) in Georgia, Luka Lomtadze, will intern at Facebook headquarters in California, United States.
Facebook chose Lomtadze along with 299 other students out of 250,000 applicants and invited him to Menlo Park, at Silicon Valley as a software developer for the summer.
Lomtadze is a third-year student of the SDSU in Georgia, studying computer engineering.
This year he took the chance that the SDSU usually offers its students and travelled to San Diego. In California Lomtadze decided to apply for one of Facebook’s most sought-after internships.
Lomtadze successfully passed two interviews at Facebook headquarters and later was chosen for the position of software developer.
"The goal of our program is to support economic growth in Georgia. To achieve this goal we help students make their dreams come true in the fields of science and technology,” said the dean of the SDSU in Georgia.
