A large project aimed at the rehabilitation of roads will soon begin in Georgia, announced the country’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili today.

A tender-winning Korean company will create the project in six months for the rehabilitation of these roads:

  • Achkhoti-Sno-Aklatsikhe-Juta
  • Tsitsamuri-Saguramo-Tskhvaritchamia
  • Sadakhlo-Akhkerpi near Georgia-Armenia border
  • Arkhiloskalo-Samtatskaro near Georgia-Azerbaijan border
  • Tsalenjikha-Jvari-Jikhashkari
  • Gupta-Oni
  • Tbilisi-Manglisi
We think the rehabilitation of these internal roads is very important. First of all it will help to create new job places for local people,” said Kvirikashvili.

The project will be implemented within the Government’s four-point reform plan and spatial arrangement plan.
