Georgian Foreign Ministry condemns Kabul terror attack

Georgian leaders condemn today’s terror attacks in Afghanistan’s capital of Kabul and express their deep sorrow to the Afghan people.

Supporting the efforts of the international community and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan aimed at eradicating violent extremism and strengthening security in the country, Georgia expresses the hope that the Afghan people will be able to overcome the challenges on the path of building a stable and peaceful state”, Georgian Foreign Ministry released a statement condemning the terror attack.

Foreign Ministry sent its condolences to the government of Afghanistan and the families of those who were killed and wished recovery of those who have been injured.

According to CNN "the Taliban have claimed responsibility for a car bombing in Kabul that left at least 29 people dead, as the Islamist fundamentalist group ratchets up an offensive across Afghanistan”,
