Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili hosted Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko in the afternoon and discussed issues of common interests and existing challenges for the two countries with him.
Establishing higher level strategic relations was one of the key issues of the meeting,” the Prime Minister’s press office reported.
The officials spoke about Georgia’s and Ukraine’s European aspirations, the upcoming Eastern Partnership Summit and enhancing of trade-economic relations.
Poroshenko and Kvirikashvili touched on global transport and energy projects, like a new Silk Road, and spoke about how to cooperate within international initiatives.
The officials confirmed their support for Georgia’s and Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
