World Economic Forum founder sends thank you letter to Georgia’s PM

Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili has received a letter of thanks from the executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab, for participating in the World Economic Forum 2016 in Davos.

In the letter, Schwab expressed his hope to deepen cooperation with the Government of Georgia.

"Your participation in the World Economic Forum with other world leaders … is important for strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors.

"Your in-depth knowledge on strategically important issues and a result achieved thanks to your effort proves your desire to improve the world environment,” he wrote.

"I would like to thank you for participating in the session on Eurasia and the Modern Silk Road.

"We expect tight cooperation with you and the Georgian Government within the Silk Road Economic Prosperity initiative,” read the letter.

The Georgian PM participated in World Economic Forum and attended the 46th session in Davos on January 21 and 22.

Kvirikashvili gave a speech at the session on Eurasia and the Modern Silk Road. He also participated in the ‘Informal Meeting of World Leaders’ where the next year’s global priorities were stressed.

During the Forum the Georgian Prime Minister attended a private reception hosted by the Schwab family.
