The European Investment Bank (EIB) is investing €450 million in Georgia to implement three major projects.

The ongoing and planned infrastructural projects funded by the EIB in Georgia and prospects of future cooperation were key topics of a conversation between Georgia’s Finance Minister Dimitry Kumsishvili and Vice President of EIB Jan Vapaavuori.

The two officials met today in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi and agreed to sign a deal tomorrow to start implementing the three projects, which have a combined value of €450 million.

One of the projects will improve road infrastructure, while the others will develop the agriculture and agro-processing industry in Georgia.

Detailed information about the projects will be announced tomorrow once the deal between Georgia and the EIB is signed.
