A new feature film by a top American director involving local and international actors is being filmed in Tbilisi.
Georgia’s capital is a filming location for a new piece by American filmmaker Anthony Lucero. Cast in the film is British-US actress Lily Collins alongside two Georgian actresses in supporting roles.
Based on Lucero's poem The Clown, the film's plot follows a travelling circus group, with the focus on a clown and his young daughter in their daily life.
The film cast several Hollywood actors including Lily Collins (known for her role in Love, Rosie) and Harry Treadaway (City of Ember, Control).
Collins shared her experiences while spending time in Georgia's capital to her social media followers:

The film also cast Georgian actresses Keti Mchedishvili and Nutsa Kukhianidze in supporting roles.
Lucero's earlier directorial works include the 2007 documentary Angels and Wheelchairs and 2005 short film I Need My Mocha.
He is supported in his latest work by award-winning American director Terrence Malick (The Tree of Life, The Thin Red Line) and producer Ilene Feldman, who are working on the production side of the project.
The film is scheduled for cinema release next year.
