A leading global weather forecasting website is now available in Georgian language, allowing users in Georgia to find information on climatic conditions in their native language.

The Georgian language version of the www.meteoblue.com weather forecasting website launched yesterday, complete with graphs showing weather patterns and a comprehensive weather forecast.

The addition of Georgian language meant the weather forecasting website was now available in 18 languages including English, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, Polish and Romanian.

Full details on climatic and temperature conditions, wind data and precipitation information was presented on the website. Seven-day and 14-day weather trends were also shown, as were daily detailed meteorological reports.

The service also offered a configurable widget to allow developers to integrate the weather forecast into their websites.

The Meteoblue website was created in 2006 at the University of Basel in Switzerland as a weather forecasting project designed for businesses and individuals. The service launched through cooperation with the United States National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the National Centres for Environment Protection.

After initially focussing on Switzerland, the service expanded and now offered detailed weather forecasts for five millions of places all over the world.
