Georgia’s Prime Minister has raised his online profile by joining Twitter.
PM Giorgi Kvirikashvili joined Twitter last night. In less than 14 hours he already has more than a hundred followers.
Kvirikashvili posted his first tweet about 12am last night under the username @KvirikashviliGi.
The PM’s first Tweet read: "#Georgia needs to strengthen its image as a European country and become a true link between #Europe and #Asia.”

Since the leader joined Twitter, he already had 137 followers.
His first morning online was very active and throughout the morning and afternoon he updated his followers with news of his Government’s plans to amend the country’s tax law and opening of Georgia’s first Technology Park.

Later today the PM travels to Davos, Switzerland to participate in the World Economic Forum. He said he would keep his Twitter followers posted on the world’s most anticipated economic event.
