The Georgian player recorded his best Grand Slam result last year after reaching the last 16 play-off round at Wimbledon before he was eliminated by Spain's Roberto Bautista.

The result saw him become the second Georgian to reach the second round of a Grand Slam tournament following Irakli Labadze's result at Wimbledon in 2006.

Basilashvili also appeared at two other Grand Slam tournaments - the Roland Garros and US Open - last year and reached his career-best ranking in October 2015 when he became world's No. 86.

The Georgian player's career statistics and overview can be viewed on his Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) page here.
