Georgia seeks to strengthen ties with Canada

Georgia’s First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs David Zalkaliani has left for Canada with his team to hold political consultations with top Canadian officials. 

A series of meetings covering all aspects of Georgia-Canadian relations will begin later today and end on May 13. 

Georgia’s Foreign Ministry announced meetings in Canada’s Foreign Ministry and Parliament would concern the issues related to enhancing of bilateral ties in terms of politics, trade and economy, defence, education, science and culture. 

Georgian and Canadian officials will also discuss Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration process.
