Georgia, Ukraine National Guards agree on cooperation

The Georgian and Ukrainian National Guards have agreed on cooperation, Ukrainian officials say.

Through this cooperation, the sides will exchange experiences, stated the website of the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU).

Commander of the Georgian National Guard Brigadier General Levan Gamkrelidze met with his Ukrainian counterpart Lieutenant-General Nikolai Balan at the NGU headquarters in Ukraine yesterday.

Balan briefed Gamkrelidze with the NGU objectives, outlined important issues and expressed the need for bilateral cooperation and exchange of experience between the two countries.

"Both sides agreed to start bilateral cooperation and exchange of experience," the NGU statement read.
