Georgian unique culture is being showcased among dozens of other countries at a traditional multicultural festival in Egypt.
Georgian Technical University’s performance ensemble Merani represented the country at the International Festival of Drums and Traditional Arts, which started last Friday in Salah El Din Citadel and El Ghouri Dome in Cairo, the Egyptian capital.

The Georgian singers and dancers were among 31 acts from more than 21 countries that performed at the festival, including Jordan, India and Thailand, to present their various performances for about a week.
Festival organisers said the event was considered a "cultural bridge to connect countries around the world”.
Daily concerts in historic districts of Cairo were held within the festival celebration.
The closing ceremony of the festival will be held at the Citadel in Old Cairo on April 25.
