US Embassy issues Christmas message in Georgian language [VIDEO]

Representatives of the United States (US) Embassy to Georgia congratulated the people of Georgia as they celebrated Christmas in a special message in Georgian language. The US Embassy representatives read a Georgian poem by famous Georgian poet Ana Kalandadze and wished the best to Georgians in 2015. 

Since being published, the video has been positively received and gained multiple positive assessments on social networks. Georgians thanked the US Embassy for the special greeting and positive emotions the video revealed. Locals also admitted the video was a good example of diplomacy, friendship and sincerity.

"It’s a big honour for us when our guests are speaking Georgian and it’s the best way to express respect to our country and mother language,” wrote Facebook user Irakli Ghlonti.

"Thank you very much! it is real friendship,” another user, Paata Davadze, wrote.

Along with messages of gratitude, Georgians also wished Americans a happy Christmas and New Year.
