Georgian basketball team prepares for EuroBasket 2015

The Georgian national basketball team has officially started preparations for the European Basketball Championship, which is being held in Croatia from September 5-20.

The team has fully gathered in Slovenia today to start training, which includes a friendly game with the national team of Bosnia in the beginning of August.

This will be the third consecutive time the Georgian side will participate in the EuroBasket competition. The aim of the tournament is to gain the title of the best basketball team among 24 European nations.

Meanwhile the EuroBasket Cup recently visited Georgia for the first time. During its time here the Cup travelled across capital Tbilisi within the EuroBasket 2015 Trophy Tour.

The EuroBasket Cup was exhibited in several places in Tbilisi on July 17-18; in Metekhi, Abanotubani, Bridge of Peace, Heroes Square, the territory of Same Church, Georgian Museum of Arts and Georgian Museum of Sports.
