Foreign football fans can purchase tickets to the UEFA Super Cup football game Barcelona vs Sevilla online via www.biletebi.ge, while Georgian fans will need to wait until next week to buy printed tickets from a box office.

This afternoon people living outside of Georgia were able to purchase tickets to the highly anticipated match on Tbilisi-based website biletebi.ge, Georgia’s Football Federation spokesperson Tamar Burduli confirmed to Agenda.ge.

This information was also relayed on a post on biletebi.ge’s official Facebook page.

Biletebi.ge – the website in charge of selling tickets to the August 11 match – said 4,300 tickets were available now for foreigner supporters.

But fans in Georgia would need to wait until next week to purchase football tickets. Burduli said 22,000 tickets would be printed in the coming days and would be available for purchase at the box office of Mikheil Meskhi Stadium in Vake as Dinamo Arena, where the Super Cup match will be held, is still under construction.

Confusion surrounding ticket sales began when the biletebi.ge, the sole ticketing website, crashed when ten thousand football fans tried accessing the site at the same time on June 22. The website has been plagued with issues since then.

Georgia’s capital city Tbilisi will host the Super Cup game on August 11.
