The country’s national railway company is slashing its domestic and export transit tariffs to increase the competitiveness of Georgian products and help boost the country’s economy.
From tomorrow, July 1, tariffs on all kinds of dry goods for domestic and export transit, as well as for container shipping, will be reduced by 20 percent, announced Georgian Railways.
"This marketing decision in the rail transport sector will reflect on the company’s future sales growth, significantly contributing to increasing Georgian products’ competitiveness and local production volumes. This in turn will positively reflect on the country’s economic growth prospects,” claimed Georgian Railways officials.
