An innovative energy project to bring affordable heating and hot water to Tbilisi has officially launched.
The project, aptly titled "Affordable heating and hot water” aimed to economically and efficiently use natural gas and electricity, as well as maintaining an ecological environment.
Energy Innovation Group is the brains behind the project, which started on August 15 last year. The project is being piloted in the Caucasus region and already involves 34 families living in Georgia’s capital city, Tbilisi.
It is being funded by Tbilisi City Hall.
As part of the project, modern, environmentally friendly and cost-efficient boilers will be installed in pre-selected areas of residential buildings.
The reservoirs will work on combined solar and natural gas energy, which was more economical, efficient and guaranteed to be safe, said project staff.
