Georgia’s Minister of Energy Kakha Kaladze has been approved by the Georgian Dream coalition to head the party’s election campaign.
The decision was made at Sunday’s meeting of the coalition’s political council.
Kaladze was tasked with preparing a work schedule for Georgian Dream – the current ruling party.
Coalition member Irina Imerlishvili said along with the upcoming local self-government elections and Election Code, the Council discussed the current political situation in Georgia and Ukraine.
After the meeting, Georgian Dream member Gia Volski said: "We spent a lot of time talking about the Prime Minister’s visit to the United States and in Europe. We also discussed [Georgia’s] relations with NATO and the European Union.”
The next coalition meeting was scheduled for Wednesday.
