Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has met with American businessmen and invited them to Georgia.
Following today's meeting, Garibashvili informed the businessmen about the economic situation in Georgia and the current business environment in the country. Today is the last day Garibashvili and the Georgian delegation are in the US on official duties.
The Prime Minister said Georgia offered a favorable political environment as well as, the best public services in the region, including a simple tax system and rapidly developing infrastructure. There were also guarantees for property, copyright and intellectual property protection, access to free and independent judiciary system, effective financial system, transparent legal environment and macroeconomic stability.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister spoke about the legislation and institutional reforms, which are being implemented to ensure free and transparent competitiveness within the market.
"Georgia has the ambition to become the trade and business hub in the region and regional base for multinational enterprises," Garibashvili said during his meeting with the American businessmen.
A special reception in honor of the Prime Minister was held yesterday at Georgia-US Business Council.
Garibashvili attended a working dinner hosted by the Georgia -US Business Council.
