Georgia’s Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Kakha Kaladze is expected to lead the Georgian Dream (GD) coalition headquarters election campaign in the local self -government election this spring.
Kaladze was offered the post at the GD Political Council meeting yesterday, February 16.
Kaladze, who is a member of the Council, has not yet agreed to the offer.
GD Political Council member Eka Beselia said the topic was discussed by Council members and a decision would be announced "later”.
"I believe Kaladze’s nomination to the post of the election campaign headquarters will be supported. He has the experience as well as good management skills,” Beselia said.
The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Davit Narmania was named as the Mayoral candidate for Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia, by Georgian Dream.
