Deputy Chief Prosecutor Irakli Shotadze has advised the Ukraine’s Government to transfer former Minister of Justice Zurab Adeishvili to Georgia, as the latter is wanted by Georgia’s law-enforcement bodies and INPERPOL’s red notice.

" Adeishvili is wanted by INTERPOL, each country, Ukraine among them, is obliged to meet international commitments and extradite a wanted individual to the country he belongs to."

"I refrain from interfering in any country’s internal issues. However, the case concerns legal procedures,” Shotadze said.

Shotadze made the statement in response of recent speculations that Adeishvili, who was charged in absentia in Georgia  for the abuse of power with the use of violence, inhumane treatment, provoking a crime and fabricating evidence, might be appointed as a head of Ukraine’s Anti-Corruption Agency on January 14,2015.
