Best Georgian honey on display in Tbilisi

Lovers of natural honey, a valuable agricultural product, have a chance for the first time in Georgia to visit and enjoy Georgian natural honey trade-exhibition.

Honey exhibition, explaining honey's beneficial qualities to visitors, tasting of unique types of honey from the different parts of Georgia and providing short information about each sort took place within the framework of the honey fair.

Dozens of Georgian honey production companies participate in the fair, which starts today and will last until December 30.

All types of high quality honey - chestnut, linden, acacia, spring meadow, subalpine and alpine - are presented at the event.

The fair is organised by Georgia’s Beekeepers Guild and is supported by Georgia’s Ministry of Agriculture.

Therefore, Georgian honey will compete to each other’s at the fair. The winner will be awarded with the Gold Medal.

Agricultural Ministry’s Press office highlighted in the announcement that this event is the first honey fair for the country and it will be held every year.

Meanwhile, Georgian tea,the most matching attribute for the honey is also on show at the honey fair.
