President Margvelashvili pays visit to Turkmenistan

Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili is on an official visit in Turkmenistan today.

In capital city Ashkhabad, the Georgian President will meet his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow. The meeting will be followed by a joint press conference by the two leaders.

Within the visit, Margvelashvili and Berdimuhamedow are expected to sign bilateral agreements that will see the two countries deepen economic, trade, transport and tourism relations.

Georgia's President is accompanied on his foreign visit by Economy Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Deputy Foreign Minister Davit Jalaghania, President of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kakha Baindurashvili, National Security Council Secretary Irine Imerlishvili, Head of the President Administration Davit Pataraia and the President's Advisers Davit Giorgi Abashishvili and Tengiz Phkhaladze.

The Georgian delegation is set to return home tomorrow.
