Georgia and Egypt’s national museums begin cooperation

The national museums of Georgia and Egypt are embarking on a new relationship after signing a deal to enhance cooperation.

The national museums of Georgia and Egypt are embarking on a new relationship after signing a deal to enhance cooperation.

Georgian and Egyptian authorities signed a memorandum of cooperation to exchange and share information regarding the ancient culture and literature of their countries.

The document, signed between Georgia’s National Museum and the National Museum of Egypt, aimed to promote national culture between the partner countries.

Looking ahead exhibitions are planned in both museums to increase awareness of Georgian and Egyptian culture. Various researches in archeological and natural science involving Georgian and Egyptian students will also take place, officials said.

In addition, there were plans to publish bilingual books, catalogues, monographs, articles and other printed material in both languages.

The initiative was supported by Georgia’s Embassy to the Republic of Egypt, accredited to the Arab Republic of Syria, Tunisia, Libya and the League of Arab State.
