Latvian President expected in Tbilisi tomorrow

The President of Latvia is set to come to Georgia tomorrow and meet the country’s top officials and discuss bilateral business opportunities.

Andris Berzins was invited to Tbilisi by Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili.

The Latvian leader is due to arrive tomorrow and begin his official duties on Wednesday with a welcoming ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Tbilisi, which will be followed by a meeting between the two presidents. Meetings with Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Parliament Speaker David Usupashvili were also scheduled.

While here Berzins was expected to participate in a Georgia-Latvia business forum. On November 27, the third day of his visit, the Latvian President will visit Georgia’s western Adjara region with President Margvelashvili and meet local government officials and sign bilateral agreements.

The Latvian delegation, which will include governmental and business representatives, are scheduled to leave Georgia later on November 27.
