From today Georgian citizens will be able to access public information more easily through a new website created by the Data Exchange Agency of the Georgian Ministry of Justice.

At www.my.gov.ge citizens can request public information online from various state institutions and receive answers within 10 days – as established under Georgian law.

The website is an online resource where pubic information from Government and private sector electronic services were collectively held in a large database. No personal information was held, officials said.

To access the services available on the website, citizens must have a new ID otherwise they must go to the Justice Ministry and register before they can log into the system.

Through the online portal, it is possible to get information about issues concerning a person, property or healthcare. People can also find information on starting a business, topics related to social service, utilities, fines and other taxes.
