The Georgian Government is planning to create an electronic map depicting the country’s top crime spots.
The map will allow people to search for the crimes according to regions, articles and categories.
The initiative was announced by the country’s Minister of Justice Thea Tsulukiani, who noted the Government remained committed to ensuring transparency and accountability of public information and "work was continuing in this direction”.
"One of the commitments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was to provide more transparency not only statistically, but for citizens, non-governmental organisations and media, so that we have more detailed information about certain crimes,” she said.
