Georgia’s Foreign Minister visits Romania

Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze is on an official visit to Romania to attend a special meeting for local diplomats.

Panjikidze was invited as a special guest to the Ambassadorial meeting alongside European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton and Moldavian Foreign Minister Natalia Gherman.

The Georgian Minister is expected to speak to the Romanian diplomats at the Ambassadorial event later today.

Before the Ambassadorial opening ceremony, Panjikidze attended a meeting with the EU’s Ashton, Moldova’s Gherman and Romanian Foreign Minister Titus Corlatean.

Once the Ambassadorial closed, the Georgian Minister is expected to attend several meetings with Romanian high officials.
