Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili is travelling to Turkey today to attend the swearing-in ceremony of President-elect Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
"Turkey is one of our largest trading partners and we should have a tight relationship with them,” the PM said this morning.
The inauguration, due to be held later today in Ankara, will be attended by up to 80 Presidents, Prime Ministers and Cabinet Ministers from across the world.
After the ceremony, Georgian Prime Minister Garibashvili is expected to attend a face-to-face meeting with the new Turkish leader.
