Germany reaffirms support for Georgia at NATO Wales Summit

Georgia has the full support of Germany.
This was what German Chancellor Angela Merkel told Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili in a phone conversation today.
One of the main topics discussed by the two officials was the current situation in the region.
The pair also discussed the September NATO Summit in Wales, in which Merkel expressed full support towards Georgia.
The German Chancellor also noted she hoped to visit Georgia in the summer of 2015.
Prime Minister Garibashvili thanked Merkel for her support.
With six days to go until Georgia participates in the NATO Summit in Wales, Georgian high officials are looking forward to positive outcomes from the annual meeting.
NATO may hold military exercises in Georgia and establish a military training centre in the country, see more Georgian participation in NATO exercises and possibly expand the local NATO liaison office - a top NATO official said.
