A new local airline is set to fly through Georgian airspace.
Georgian airline Flyvista today announced it would fly from Georgia to neighbouring countries.
The low budget airline will begin flying direct from Tbilisi to Tehran, the capital of Iran, and land at Iman Khomeini International Airport.
The flights started operating on a regular schedule from August 4 and will depart twice Tbilisi a week from on Monday’s and Thursday’s.
The average price for a one way ticket is $99 USD.
Flyvista executive director Gregory Pomerantsev believed passengers would enjoy a positive flying experience with Flyvista as the company had a strong focus on safety but also prided itself on providing its passengers with an enjoyable flight.
"Flyvista is the friendly and competitive alternative for traveling and will it support tourism development in Georgia,” Pomerantsev said.
The airline is expected to announce regular flights from Tbilisi to Moscow, Istanbul, Almaty, Baku, Prague and Minsk in the future.
