An injured deer fawn found wandering in farmlands has been nursed back to health and released into the wild.
Several days ago the baby deer wandered away from its home in the forest and was found by locals on agricultural lands in Vani district in western Georgia.
The locals contacted the Department of Surveillance of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, who then rescued the young deer.
The animal was given necessary first aid and taken to Tbilisi Zoo where it stayed while it recovered.
Now in good health, the fawn was today released back into the wild.
