Georgia's special envoy to Russia Zurab Abashidze left for Prague today to meet Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Gregory Karasin, who are due to meet this week for the seventh time in the scope of special Georgia-Russia dialogue.
"Signing the Association Agreement (AA) was held in peaceful circumstances. I mean there has not been any particular pressure from the Russian side and we would like this to continue in the same way in terms of trade and economic relations," Abashidze said before leaving the country.
"There is no resistance against the fact that we will have free trade with the European Union and also with our neighbours including Russia," he added.
The meeting between the Georgian and Russian envoys is due to be held on July 9. A few days before this, Georgian and Russian experts will meet to discuss results achieved from the beginning of 2012 as well as future perspectives of Georgia-Russia trade.
