The Ministry of Culture has announced 2015 as the "Sukishvilebi” year, as the 70th anniversary of the Georgia National Ballet is approaching.

Georgian Culture Minister Guram Odisharia shared the news while attending a rehearsal of a Georgian folk dance band.

The Minister promised to financially support the ensemble. The money given by the Ministry will be used for renovation of the rehearsal hall, renewing the costumes and touring.

A meeting about the details of the partnership between the ensemble heads and Ministry representative will be held at the Culture Ministry next week.

"We will help the ensemble with the means we have this year and try to make something [out of the ensemble] that has never been done before,” said Odisharia.
