Dozens of prisoners pardoned

Fifty four prisoners have been pardoned by the Georgian Government.  

President Giorgi Margvelashvili signed a decree of pardon for the 54 prisoners this evening (19 January).    

The signed decree N19/01/01" stated the President had pardoned 54 prisoners including two minors and three women.    

The Presidential decree has been sent to the Minister of Corrections and Legal Assistance of Georgia, who is responsible for its execution.

The pardoned prisoners have already left prison.
