Cyclists and mountain biking enthusiasts can venture outdoors and enjoy Tbilisi’s new cycle track.
A 50km circular track, divided into easy, medium and difficult roads, opened in Tbilisi National Park yesterday.
The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Agency of Protected Areas Rati Jafaridze.
After the track was officially opened, about 40 riders cycled along the pathway.
The track, which is marked according to international standards, was created within a United National World Tourism Organization project.
The Ministry of Environment announced said the bicycle track was a novel, exciting new venue. The Ministry said the new bike track would help increase the number of visitors to Tbilisi National Park – a protected area – as well as promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.
