Dozens of youths swarmed a polling station in western Georgia as election officials tried to count the results of today’s self-government elections.
The N22 polling station in Dzedziteli village, Khoni region, was stormed by about a dozen people about 9.30pm.
The Regional Commission representative said the official ballot box had been broken in the disturbance.
"More than thirty young people have swarmed the polling station and broke furniture. They also ripped [official] papers, said commission representative Ia Khutchukhidze.
Law enforcement agencies are working at the scene to remedy the matter.
