How Ministries are celebrating Independence Day

Authorities have joined the public celebration on the main street of the Georgian capital city as the country recognizes its Independence Day.

Almost all Ministers and heads of Governmental agencies presented their offices to people today in small stalls on Rustaveli Ave.

Justice Minister Tea Tsulukiani presented several services her Ministry provided. She helped the country’s President Giorgi Margvelashvili to get a brand new ID card at her pavilion while giving a new-style marriage document to Prime Minister Irakli Garibahsvili and his wife.

People were able to go to her pavilion and learn about different services for free.

Health Minister Davit Sergeenko offered people free skin cancer screening while Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri let citizens get involved in the state budget forming process in the Finance Ministry’s stall.

The Sports Ministry organised small tournaments and games for children and adults, while the State Minister for Euro-Atlantic Integration Alexi Petriashvili stood at his marquee and gave information about Europe to those interested in his Ministry.

Georgia’s Agriculture Minister Shalva Pipia gained a lot of support as his stall presented Georgian-produced products including Georgian cheese.

People are welcome to visit the various stalls and talk to Ministers until the event ends later this afternoon.
