Nominations open for Entrepreneur Of The Year

The Ernst &Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2014 call for nominations has begun, with the competition being held in 145 cities in more than 60 countries around the globe.
This year Georgia will join these countries to recognize the best entrepreneur, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia announced on May 7.
Now in its 28th year, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards have honored and recognized the men and women who build businesses and create products, services and jobs that drive the economy forward.
Deputy Minister of Economy KetevanBochorishvili believed the awards were given to entrepreneurs who createdmarket-leading businesses, were innovative and created jobs.
"It is a priority of the Georgian Government to develop entrepreneurship and innovation businesses and The Entrepreneur Of The Year project responds to our importance,”Bochorishvili said.
Regional and national award winners are selected by an independent judging panel comprised of past award winners, business executives and industry leaders.

Applicants must fill out the application form before June 1. The winners in different categories, as well as the overall country winner, will be announced by an independent jury.
Anyone who is associated with a successful entrepreneur can nominate a candidate. This includes spouses, employees, bankers, attorneys, public relations managers or entrepreneurs themselves.

The Georgian award winner of Ernst &Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 will be invited to Monte Carlo to participate in a global award ceremony - World Entrepreneur Of The Year.
