Lasha Abashidze heads President’s administration

Lasha Abashidze, President-elect Giorgi Margvelashvilis election campaign fund manager will be appointed as chief of administration.

Abashidze said that after Margvelashvili takes office on November 17, there is a planned reorganization processes at the administration. "The authority of the new president is deferent due to the changes in constitution; therefor the administration will be formed according to the new circumstances, Abashidze told journalists.

"We will hire the new staff that will be very skilled and professionals, he added.

Abashidze, who holds MA in public administration from Tbilisi-based Georgian Institute of Public Affairs in which Margvelashvili was a rector, and served as chief of operations at the state-owned Georgian Railway in 2007-2010. He was also the executive director of Great Britain`s International Financial Institute.
